You can draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or finger, type your name and use a handwriting-style font, or add an image of your signature. A PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result, because it does not cover the text underneath.

This adds your signature as an image on the page. That is a simple electronic signature, and it is what most everyday forms, permission slips, rental agreements and internal documents ask for.

It is not a digital signature with a certificate, and it does not include a certificate-based validation record. If a process legally requires a qualified or certified signature, use the service that process specifies.

Privacy and good practice
