Number only what you need

You can start numbering on any page, for example skipping the cover or the table of contents, and choose which number the first one gets. That way an appendix can start at 1 even if it sits at the end of a longer document.

The number is drawn on the page with a standard font, without touching the rest of the content. If a page is rotated, the number still ends up at the bottom or top as you see it.

Tips before numbering

If you're going to combine several files, number after merging so the count is continuous; use Merge PDF first. If you need to change the page order, do it beforehand with Reorder PDF pages.

The number is added on top of the content. If your document has very small margins, pick another position or reduce the text size.
